Yangeni Chendela’s journey into HR began with a simple observation: most workplaces underestimate their people. Through over a decade of senior HR roles in Zambia and across the region, he saw the gap between policy and possibility — and made it his life’s work to close it.

That work eventually outgrew the corporate setting. Through his brand, “Not Your Usual HR,” Yangeni began sharing frameworks, stories, and practical tools with a much wider audience. Today, that audience spans Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Uganda, and the United States.
